Test on Wednesday on Microsoft Word Handouts.

 

Students will complete the following tables in the Century 21 book

·        Table 3 Pg. 95

o   Create a table with the proper number of columns and rows

o   Change the row height to .4

o   Follow directions in the book for other formatting

o   Save as 32B-TBL3

·        Table 4 pg. 95

o   Save as 32B-TBL4

·        Table 1 on pg. 96

o   Make formatting changes

o   Change row heights as listed in book

o   Save as 33C-TBL1

Complete any unfinished tables and be prepared to have checked for a grade.

o   Vertically align text within a table

o   Change row height

o   Change the text direction within a table

o   Sort the Artist column in ascending order

o   Change row height as listed in book

·        Two-Column Table 1 pg. 93

o   Make formatting changes as listed in book

o   Center the table horizontally and vertically

o   Save as 31B-TBL1

·        Table 2 pg. 93

·        Broadway Grosses pg. 88

o   Bold the main title, secondary title, and column headings

o   Center the column headings

o   Left align column A

o   Right align columns B & C

o   Center the table horizontally and vertically

·        Activity 1 pg. 89

o   Key the main title first In all caps

o   Double-space before inserting the table

o   Save as WP4ACT1

·        Activity 2 pg. 89

o   Open the table you created in Activity 1 and make changes

o   Save as WP4ACT2

·        Activity 3 pg. 90

o   Adjust the column widths so that the name of the sales representative fits on one line. Adjust other lines as needed

o   Save as WP4ACT3

·        Activity 4 pg. 90

o   Make formatting changes as listed in the directions in book

o   Save as WP4ACT4

·        Activity 6 pg. 91

o   Sort the table by Territory in descending order

o   Sort the table by March sales in ascending order

Be sure all reports assigned so far are complete. Grades were added to Powerschool yesterday for Report 66B-- Explorers.

Today I am grading 69B Four Famous Americans.

 Students will key the report “Delivering the Mail" on pg. 165 in the Century 21 Book

The first page should have a 2 inch top margin. Every page afterwards should have a one inch top margin.

·        Insert a page numbe with your last name in front of the number. . Do not put the page number on the first page.  Right align the text in the header

·        Set up the document so that all text is double-spaced


o   Use heading 2 for subheadings

o   Make a separate reference page

o   Make a title page

o   Make a table of contents

Essential Question- If you want to set tabs in a document, where do you go?

Students will complete:

·        the tab activity on pg. 155

o   Dot leader tabs

·        The tab activity on pg. 171

o   Set tabs at 2 and 4

 Students will key the report “Plains Indians” on pg. 156 in the Century 21 Book

Students will key the report in MLA format

·        Set the page margins to 1 inch on all sides

·        Insert a header that includes your last name followed by the page number. Do not put the page number on the first page.  Right align the text in the header

·        Set up the document so that all text is double-spaced

·        Starting on the first line of the document, do the following:

o   Type your first and last name (left align) then hit ENTER

o   Type your teacher’s name- Mrs. Perry, then hit ENTER

o   Type the title of the course- Computer Applications, then hit ENTER

o   Type the current date (left aligned) then hit enter

o   Use heading 2 for subheadings

o   Make a separate reference page

o   Make a title page

o   Make a table of contents
