4th period needs to take Microsoft Basics Test
Teacher will review with a guided activity how to use the find and replace function in Microsoft Word.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of find and replace by completing:
Word It! Activity 7 “Glee” pg. 13
  • Find and replace text in a document
  • Insert a header that includes the activity number and title left aligned, and your name right aligned. Type the header in all caps.
  • Type the article text on pg. 14 exactly as shown in Figure 7-1
  • Save the document as GLEE.
  • Follow the directions on pg. 14. When complete, you should have 20 replacements.
  • Resave the document.
Teacher will review how to use the spell check function and thesaurus functions in Microsoft Word.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge by completing
Word It! Activity 8 “America’s Got Talent” pg. 15
  • Insert a header that includes the activity number and title left aligned, and your name right aligned. Type the header in all caps.
  • Save the document as AMERICATALENT
  • Type the text in Figure 8-1. Do not bold the words appearing in bold.
  • Run the spell check to replace the misspelled words. (5 misspelled words)
  • Use the thesaurus tool to find alternative words for the ten words in bold.
  • Underline each of the new replaced words.
  • Resave the document.
Teacher will review for memo and shortcut quiz on Tuesday.
